Currently January

1st post of the year!! How awesome is that!! A new month means linking up with Farley for another Currently!

Listening- Jar of Hearts - Christina Perri

Loving - The new year!
Not only do I love New Year's Eve because it's my dad's birthday (he turned 68!) but it's one of my favorite days because it means a NEW BEGINNING. I'll take any chance to start again, try becoming better and refresh any time!

Thinking - I need to work on my 2016 planner!!
So this year I'm actually going to try to keep up with my planners. I bought this amazing goal planner from Etsy. I love it because it focuses on working towards your goals!

Wanting - For this terrible cold to go away
I can't be the only one who gets sick every time we go on break right??? Something strange happens to my body but I get sick every.single.time! This year I thought I had avoided it and then one night...it happened...I woke up with a cold!
I've been trying it to get rid of it for almost a week now...ugh!!
Needing - To finish unpacking the garage
I'm embarrassed to admit this but I haven't finished unpacking my garage!! We moved into our new house in October and my garage is still a mess!! It just became dumping ground for everything that didn't have a place to go and now I'm dealing with the consequences...oops!
I started working on it yesterday....
From this...

to this...

I obviously still have a lot of work to do (maybe I shouldn't be on my laptop writing this post right now lol) but it WILL get done before Sunday :)!

Thank you for stopping by. I wish you all a very amazing 2016!

Currently November

I cannot believe this is the NOVEMBER currently link up... already?!?!
I love this time of the year, it's my absolutely favorite! Not too hot, not too cold... at least where I am in Texas!

Listening: No don't worry it's not me watching ESPN...Im definitively NOT a sports girl... My husband is watching something (no idea what?!) on ESPN... it all sounds the same to me lol

Loving: So yesterday I asked my husband to run to the store cause I was running low on coffee creamer... he came back with this super soft blanket from Target (for some reason my dog thought the blanket was for him!) Very sweet thing to do but he was just trying to tell me he's not turning the AC off just yet lol. See... we have a BIG problem at our house, he's ALWAYS hot and wants to keep the AC running and of course... I'm ALWAYS cold and freezing to death! Can anyone relate? How do you deal with this?!

Thinking: So everyone's talking about the extra hour of sleep they got today... not sure where mine went?! What did you do with your extra hour?

Wanting: Whenever I'm not working, reading or spending time with my family... I like to spend my time BAKING and trying new recipes!! I've always struggled with cooking but baking is a different story, I could just bake and bake ALL DAY LONG!

Needing: We moved into our new house about a month ago (finally) and I just can't seem to finish unpacking!!! It might just have to wait until Thanksgiving break!!

YUMMY: Last year I made this DELICIOUS Snickers apple pie but I CANT seem to find or remember the recipe. I found a similar one on Pinterest and I might just have to give it a try. Who knows...maybe it will be better!

Hope you have an amazing month of November friends!!

BTS Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!! I'm so glad you're joining me once again for another of our cool blog hops! This hop is going to be packed with ideas and tips for you to be ready and excited about Back to School so make sure you go through all the hop so you don't miss a thing!

On Friday, I made another trip to my classroom to continue setting up. My students don't go back for another 2 weeks but I always try to be a lil ahead of the game and try to set up before that... I'm not the only one right? I finished setting up my Financial Literacy posters and my Scientific Method/Metodo Científico Posters.

Many of you already know I teach in a Dual Language Program. So the visuals in my classroom are both in English and Spanish.

On Friday I had a big DUUUHHH moment but fortunately it turned into a tip that I want to share with you!! Hopefully I'm not the only one with this problem. See every time I go to my classroom I end up thinking of a million things I need to go purchase. Sometimes I write it down on whatever piece of paper I can find BUT since my class is such a big mess right now I end up losing it. I came home and decided to create a very simple, quick way to keep my shopping list in one place... by the door!

There's no way I'll lose it or forget it if its there! I used some colorful washi tape (just to make it more colorful and exciting haha). And now every time I'm out the door I simply grab it and I'm ready to go. Just last time I was there I knew I had to buy command hooks, spray paint, black fabric and pink borders for my bulletin board!

Make sure you head to my store and grab it for FREE

Don't forget to enter our amazing giveaway and keep visiting all the other blogs for more Back to School tips and ideas!!

TPT Seller Challenge: Week 1

I'm so excited right now because I've been playing catch up with the TPT Seller Challenge... We are in Week 3 of the challenge and I just finished Week 1... uh-oh! O well! At least I'm DONE! And I couldn't wait to share it with you all!

So Week 1 of the #TPTSellerChallenge consisted of doing a makeover on one of your products. I decided to update my 2D and 3D Shapes Posters. This was one of the first products that I created for my classroom. I wasn't teaching Dual Language at the time but I did have English language learners. So I created these posters so that ALL my students could benefit.

This worked for some time BUT after many requests of changing the colors and fonts to coordinate Dual Language classrooms... I knew it was time for a change :)! And I'm so glad because I love they turned out.
This is BEFORE:

And AFTER!!!!!!!!

Ok so now these posters will be so much better for my students! They look cleaner, the font is bigger and bolder. Also, it goes PERFECT in Dual language classrooms since it now has red and blue words. I added another version... there's a set with the kids holding the shapes and one without so you can pick your favorite :)!

What do you think? Do you like it better?? I wish I would have done this sooner! Anyway... you can still JOIN US for some TPT Seller Challenge fun! Its not too late!

Currently - Let's Welcome July!

Its that time of the month! What a better way to welcome JULY!!! than to link up with Farley  for the monthly and super fun CURRENTLY!!

Listening - It's 5:00 am... so thats pretty much all there is... can't play any music cause the 2 boys in the house (husband and dog) are still sleeping...!

Loving - I'm seriously loving SUMMER! What a surprise huh? For a teacher to love summer lol. But this summer has been different. I'm still trying to learn how to RELAX. It's the first year I haven't made or prepared anything for my classroom. I desperately needed a break and I'm thankful to get one.

Thinking- haha you're probably thinking... 'well ya your to-do list keeps getting longer if you keep relaxing'... but I've actually been quite productive just not about anything school related. I usually do my spring cleaning in the summer (insert embarrassed face here!). So it has been nice to have time to do it but it feels like I'll never finish! Here's the checklist I'm using in case you're in the same boat!

Wanting - Admit it! I'm not the only one who wants a brand new back to school wardrobe. I mean that's not just for kids right?? I might have to start throwing some hints to my husband so he'll be mentally prepared in August...oops!

Needing - Our office has been my dumping ground for almost 2 years. It started as the room where we put all the boxes we didn't have time to unpack. Then it became school supply storage and now it has evolved to a huge MESS! It's driving me crazy. The thing is that we might be moving to a new home soon so I just can't find the inspiration to organize! Do you have any tips?!?!

All * - It has always been easy for me to spell words. Of course I make spelling mistakes but if you need someone to proofread something... I'm your person! My colleagues are constantly coming to my room asking to proofread and edit their newsletters. I might be terrible in math but at least I can spell right?

Now head over to Farleys and join everyone else for some more CURRENTLY fun :) !

TPT Seller Challenge - Week 2 - Dare to Dream

Hello friends! Welcome to Week 2 of TPT Seller Challenge. I am loving this week's topic "DARE TO DREAM". It's been fun reading everyone's dreams.
During the time I have been a TPT author I have learned so much! TPT has  done so much for me already and most importantly... it allows me to DREAM.

So these are just SOME of my dreams!

1. PAY OFF DEBT
So I'm a lil embarrassed to admit... I'm in debt...I know I'm not the only one right? The husband and I are working very hard to pay debt off and stay debt free. It will probably take a while but thanks to TPT we are closer than we used to!

2. BUY A HOUSE
Well this one kind of goes together with #1. We are sooooo ready to have our own house but we are trying to be smart (UGH!) and save up as much as we can for a down payment.

3. ADOPT
This is DEFINITIVELY the dream that is closest to my heart. We have always wanted to adopt a child and I would like to do it sooner rather than later. I am hoping that TPT will help pay for some of those adoption expenses.

So what about you? Do you have any dreams? If you haven't already done so I DARE YOU TO DREAM!

Christmas Conversation Linky Party

Maybe I love Christmas way too much... or MAYBE... Im just looking for another valid excuse to keep putting off my gigantic grading stack...
But it was so tempting to link up with The Inspired Apple to keep dreaming about Christmas :) ...Grading will just have to wait!

Cant wait til Christmas break to be able to enjoy a much needed time with my family!

Have a great rest of the week!
